religious affiliation.
- Magdalene House looks at each person’s journey beginning not with
original sin but with original grace.
- Magdalene House encourages women to connect to one another
through their shared feelings in reaction to different experiences in
their lives.
- We realize that we cannot provide for every need of every person,
but strive to offer hospitality to every person who comes to Magdalene
House.
- Magdalene House of Charleston maintains that every person should
be treated with love and respect.
- The women who come to Magdalene House have been undone by the
systems within which we all operate: school, church, family and
government. They have learned that their sexuality is a commodity. Our
goal is to operate outside the system as far as possible so that the
women are free to experience sanctuary.
